Gold futures
Gold futures are exchange-traded contracts on gold, the benchmark on COMEX in dollars per troy ounce, trading above London spot by the carry. Gold pays nothing, so real yields move it more than mines do, and MCX gold is this price times the rupee, plus duty. A gold contract on Mochatrade references spot, not COMEX.
