Ticker symbol
A ticker symbol is the short code an exchange gives a listed security: NVDA for Nvidia, AAPL for Apple. Nasdaq tickers usually run four letters and NYSE ones up to three. It is the first thing on screen in one NVDA trade, start to finish, and a contract on the stock carries the same code, as the Mochatrade listing shows.
