How to Close or Partially Close a Position

On the Trade page's Positions tab, find your position and click Market (or Limit) to close it. To close only part of it, use a Reduce-Only order and keep the rest open.

Prerequisites & Limits

  • An open position, and trading must be available.

  • A closing fee of 0.05% of the closed size applies.

Step-by-Step Navigation

  1. Sign in at mochatrade.com, open Trade and go to the Positions tab.

  2. Select the position you want to close.

  3. Click Market (or Limit) on the position's row to close it fully.

  4. For a partial close, place a Reduce-Only order for the size you want to close.

  5. Confirm. Realised P&L appears in Order history.

Common Failures & Troubleshooting

  • My close opened a position in the other direction: The order wasn't Reduce-Only. To exit, use Reduce only, or Market or Limit on the position's row.

  • Close didn't go through: Trading may be unavailable at that moment. Try again once trading resumes.
