Aadhaar-Linked Mobile Number Lost or Changed

KYC on Mochatrade verifies the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar. If you have lost that number or changed it, update it with UIDAI first — then retry the Aadhaar step in the app.

Prerequisites & Limits

  • UIDAI step comes first: Your Aadhaar-linked mobile can only be changed by UIDAI, not by Mochatrade.

  • Aadhaar OTP: The OTP for this step comes from the Aadhaar system and goes only to the mobile currently linked to your Aadhaar. It can sometimes be delayed.

  • Never share it: Never share your Aadhaar OTP with anyone, including Mochatrade.

  • KYC requirement: This step is part of one-time KYC, needed before you can deposit, trade or withdraw.

Step-by-Step Navigation

  1. Visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra or enrolment centre and register your new mobile number with UIDAI.

  2. Once UIDAI shows your new number, open the app and go to Profile then Verification.

  3. Retry the Aadhaar step and enter the OTP sent to your newly linked number.

Common Failures & Troubleshooting

  • Aadhaar OTP not arriving: The OTP comes from the Aadhaar system and can be delayed. Wait a few minutes and try again.

  • OTP keeps failing after retries: Contact support with the step you are stuck on — our team will have it checked.

  • Number is linked but verification still errors: Contact support; this is investigated as a technical issue.

  • 'Mobile not linked to Aadhaar' message: The number you are using is not registered with UIDAI yet — complete the UIDAI update first, then retry KYC.
